In the fast-paced world of technology, change is constant. The most recent change? A brand-new feature from Instagram just dropped, and I think it’s one you’ll want to check out.
So what exactly has changed now?
Well, everyone’s favourite photo-sharing app, Instagram, has dropped a brand new feature this week, so let’s jump in.
Instagram launches Quicksnap
So the all-new feature from Instagram is called Quicksnap.
I want you to know that I only just discovered this feature when I got access to the feature. I cannot for the life of me find any legitimate documentation from Instagram themselves.
So Quicksnap seems to be a kind of Snapchat or Locket alternative. Because it would not be the ever-changing world of digital media without a little idea stealing. Digital is quite incestuous like that.
Quicksnap allows you to send a photo that can only be viewed once, either to individual followers or your Close Friends list. The post appears for 24 hours on the right side of the home feed for those you select, but only if they follow you back.
If you have access to the feature, here’s how it works.
Tap on the centre plus button, and you’ll see the option Quicksnap on the bottom left side.
Snap the photo you want to send.
Select your audience. You can either select individual people to share your snap to or you can choose your entire Close Friends list (and if you’re a business on Instagram, you should absolutely already have one made!)
Once you’ve posted your Quicksnap, it shows up on the right side of the home feed of the people you’ve chosen to show it to.
While it’s similar to Close Friends or Locket, Quicksnap is offering a creative new way to engage with your audience. You never know, this might just be the next best way to find your perfect customer.
I recommend giving it a try and experimenting with how it can fit into your overall strategy and content workflow.
Can’t wait to hear the fun you get up to with Quicksnap.
Love from your Chronically Online Friend,
Sydney ✨💖
